June 14, GitHub has undergone numerous intrusion attempts by an attacker in possession of e-mail and password combinations retrieved from the violation of other online services

On June 14 someone in possession of a list of e-mail addresses and passwords obtained from the impairment of various online services has made a massive number of attempts to login to the service GitHub. The security administrator have checked the log of access attempts, by identifying how the attacker was able to gain access to a number of accounts. Yahoo Messenger, after 18 years of honorable service closes the old app

The company has announced that the Yahoo Messenger “legacy” client will no longer be supported as of 5 August. Those who want to use the service will have to download new applications

More than 18 years after its launch and as many of honorable service closes the old Yahoo Messenger. This was announced by the same company in an official post, stating that the application will be dismantled next August 5th. It was launched in 1998 under the name of Yahoo Pager and had somehow withstood the test of time, surviving until today. Last year the company launched a more modern version oriented to the cabinet, which is why the old no longer needed.
